Things you have to do to get all the way to Africa and back.

  I have at certain times  accumualted  a sizeable amount of Northwest/KLM World Perks frequent flyer miles.  Sometimes those miles can get me about halfway through my trip to Africa and back (that’s been termed “Halfrica”). 

The only direct flights from NYC to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, which is is my destination,  go through Amsterdam, Netherlands (obviously a very interesting place.)  I originally was gong to alter this pic and tell you that is was me in Amsterdam trying to earn enough money to buy a ticket to get all  the way back  home.  Obviously not true…….. I will  tell you that I tossed this guy a few Euro for his ability to play Bach out of both nostrils at the same time.  I mean, C’mon…….this was at about 10:00 a.m and he was playing Bach!

My other favotite guy was juggling firesticks and riding a unicycle over a ramp.  All of this to say that you have to do what you have to do to get where you are going.  Hopefully I won’t have to do either of these, but…………………………..thanks to all who have so faithfully helped me get back and forth to Africa.  My heart is here (NY) and there in Africa.  I think that there is room for both.

I  may have to learn some kind of skill just in case………………………I have always wanted to be able to juggle FOUR objects at one time!
